My family and I joined the Church in 2008, when I was a student at Divine Word University in Madang. We had moved back to Port Moresby after being in Tabubil through my dad's employment with Ok Tedi Mining Ltd for almost 10 years. My dad automatically became a deacon at the Church (he has been the Deacon Chairman for several years now), having been a deacon back at Tabubil United Church. My mum has been heavily involved with the Women Fellowship and my two brothers and I with the Youth Ministry (I have been the Youth Chairman since 2014; this is the final year of the leadership term) in other aspects of the Church. We have been very committed to Church activites, having been given the opportunity to rent and reside in the Church ground in the small Church property next to the Minister's house, since 2010. The current Congregation Minister Rev Jino Pala (who is also the North Port Moresby Circuit Superintendent Minister) is the third minister to have served at the Church since we officially became members of the Church in 2008, with the former pastors being Rev Momoru Hedu and Rev Auro Tau. Through our membership and involvement with this congregation, we have had many of our relatives and friends, particularly from our home villlage Gavuone in Abau, Central, joining the Church and serving the Lord! The Church has experienced growth and transformation over the years we have been involved, particularly within the last 5 years. More young people are being baptised or confirmed in the Church, and there is lot of evangelism activity, as well as internal mentorship and moulding. A powerful Praise & Worship Team is in place, complimented by hymn and prophet singing. We thank those who have contributed to the Church in the past years, especially in the early years of its operation. God bless!

Hi, I loved this school & have so many fond & funny memories! At the time Mr Krilley was the head master; I remember his being so tall, he would often perch one leg on a chair for emphasis (possibly because I was in trouble yet again)! I remember sucking the life out of the salty plumbs and ginger bits and swinging on the 'monkey bars' until you had blisters galore! The classrooms with their louvred Windows, Mrs Cross who was never cross but encouraged you to be creative. Mrs Wing who only wore white and who frightened the life out of me! She made the class write in a diary each day (at the time...so boring) but which I am eternally grateful for! All good stuff!
