I remember doing my Work Experience here for two weeks (1990). A real eye-opener, in the time I was there I caught a small single engine plane take off with it's fuel tank on fire, and watched as the ground staff split several hundred litres of fuel over a wheels and under-carrage of a 747 full of people ready to take off for Cairns. Luckly it was cleaned without further incident. - BMO

This pool was home to both the Port Moresby Swimming club and the Boroko swimming club. Three lanes for each club and two for the public. It was a VERY heavily clorinated pool.
